Walks from Comrie Leaflet
A Comrie walks
leaflet detailing six walks around Comrie is available from local
shops, Tourist Information Centres and from PERTH & KINROSS Council,
Countryside Section, Pullar House, 35 Kinnoull Street, Perth Scotland
PH1 5GD. The walks are each 2 - 6 miles long. Hill walking or strolls
along the banks of the river there are routes to suit everyone.
We highly recommend the Glen Lednock circular walk. The route follows
the River Lednock through woodland and moorland to a viewpoint at
Lord Melville's Monument on Dunmore Hill.

Walk networks
have been set up throughout Perthshire. They are waymarked and have
their own guide leaflets. The routes were agreed with landowners
as walking routes. Some routes or parts of routes are suitable for
cyclists or horse riders. You might like to sign up for one of the
guided walks that are offered.
Some of the other walks leaflets for highland Perthshire areas near
Comrie are:

Long Distance Walks
To the north
of Comrie is Glen Lednock, with its falls, and to the south is Glen
Artney. Both Glens provide shorter strolls but if you up for a challenge
they also offer lengthier routes. From Glen Lednock long-distance
paths lead through to Loch Tay, and from Glen Artney, a path leads
all the way to Callander after following the Keltie Water.
Walking Events
Crieff and
Strathearn's Drovers' Tryst is basically a week long autumn walking
festival, but it is also so much more than a walking festival. The
itinerary bristles with a range of events to suit outdoor enthusiasts
of all interests and abilities. Many of the walks celebrate the
Cattle Drovers, the people who made Crieff the hub of Scotland at
the turn of the 18th Century.
